Sponsors and Volunteers

Thank you to Granada Community Services District (GCSD) staff, Hope Atmore and Nora Mayen who graciously agreed to allow us to hold the forum in the GCSD Board meeting room. They also helped host the candidates in the waiting room before showtime.

Joyce Logan, made sure that when Chris Johnson arrived, everything was ready for him, as he came after Coaching his Cunha team. She managed signage and the candidate rotation.

Thank you to Chris Johnson who was the moderator. He has extensive experience and excels in this role. I always enjoy watching him work. Here is a link to his GCSD 2024 candidate forum. Here is the Monday, October 5th, 2026 Half Moon Bay Candidate Forum.

Thank you to PCTV for recording this event. Producer Jason Francisco, streamed the forum and recorded it so you can watch it at your leisure.

I want to also give extra thanks to Chris and Joyce. It was a 100% volunteer effort which required meeting on the weekends to craft the questions. We are not the League of Women’s Voters, but Buzz did work with them on the City Council Forum in 2024. Due to venue scheduling we were unable to get LWV to moderate, but Margie Gater very generously proofed my email to the candidates so as to be as fair as possible.

Of course, I came down with the flu and was unable to help or attend on the day and Chris, Joyce, Jason, Hope and Nora were left to set up the chairs, create signage, guide the candidates to the waiting room. Jason was also sick the previous week; double thanks Jason.

I am so proud of their belief in democracy, understanding the importance of this event.

Michelle Dragony,

Chief Buzz Officer
