My family moved to El Granada in 1974.  I have loved living on the Coastside for over 50 years.  It is my honor to represent the Granada Community Services District with the perspective of a lifelong Coastsider.  Biking and skating the hills, as well as surfing the local beaches, shaped who I am.  I studied at the University of California at Santa Cruz, earning a B.A. in Premedical; Biology. Over the years, my knowledge and appreciation of the rare and unique lifestyle we enjoy in El Granada and greater Northern California area have grown.  When I am not teaching Special Education, I seek adventure in the high Sierra.  My love of backpacking progressed into climbing among the “Big Stone” of Yosemite, mountaineering, primitive technology, and tracking.  I was motivated to serve on the GCSD Board of Directors to help influence future plans for the area to ensure that they represent the culture and character of our community.
